2. Please outline your reasons for taking part at Materials Handling Middle East 2015 and give details about what you will showcase?

It is a great opportunity for us to show our warehousing solutions expertise to existing and potential customers in the region. We will showcase with a live exhibit our fully automated storage and picking system AutoStore. Additionally, visitors can get information about the latest automated systems for pallet & bin storage, picking and transportation technologies.

3. What markets and regions are you targeting and why?

UAE, Saudi Arabia and other countries in the GCC region. We target sectors such as retail, F&B (we have also a broad expertise in temperature controlled solutions) , e-commerce, manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries.

4. What are the latest market trends that are impacting, or will impact your business in this region?

Automation in warehouses and distribution centers is growing in importance and is increasingly being used in the Middle East region. Market dynamics are changing at an ever increasing rate and complexity.
Companies are also under pressure and are facing significant throughput increase. The cold chain logistics segment where fresh, frozen food or pharmaceutical products vulnerable to temperature variations need to be transported as well as stores and storage areas that are required to comply with strict regulations and related sectors also face many challenges across the region.

The flow-on effects of these developments have a major impact on modern warehouses, with many existing operating models no longer fitting their intended purpose. The trend toward automation has gathered pace, as investment in technology is viewed as a long-term benefit in uncertain times. The flexibility of scalable systems provides greater scope for adaptation in changing environments that feature:

- More orders/order lines
- Smaller orders/order lines
- Short shipping frequency
- Short lead times
- Accurate order fulfilment
- Less product damage
- Improved stock accuracy and control
